10/30 - 10/31

Objectives: go over common sentence-level errors; revise/type draft
Activities: review; type
HWK: none!

We went over some examples sentences with typical errors before settling in to type. I took up the homework (a completed, handwritten or typed draft) and everyone finished a typed, revised draft in class. Next week may be confusing bc volleyball players and their fans may be on a diff schedule than the rest.

10/13- 10/14

Objective- review vocab, review for mid-term, confer about group projects
Activities- review, conferences,housekeeping
Homework- STUDY for the exam, bring organized notebook, non-fiction

Today the class broke into five groups and completed the comp review. We then put the review on the elmo and discussed it. At the end of class we had time to study our reviews or read the non-fiction for the book projects. Dr. Franklin then had each puritan news group go back to her desk to let reasons be known for grades.

Class was very productive and we got a lot of work done. We should all be well prepared for our comps next time.

I need a better system; I'm writing this again. At mid-terms, I'll change the seating chart and a few class procedures that aren't working well. The movie is pretty compelling at this point. It seems like most people are getting the major ideas.
